Hi, my name is Savin.
I am a tuk tuk diver in Phnom Penh and I speak fluent English. I enjoy helping travelers explore the city. I know all the good spots for site seeing, dining, and cultural exploration. I can pick you up from the airport or at any entry point. I can deliver you to your hotel or hostel of choice or I can suggest a place that suits your needs. I can assist those travelers who have never been to Cambodia before and show you all the best places in the city.
Fees:
From airport to city center: $8
Around neighborhood: $2
Across town: $3
Full day: $20
A full day tour can include a visit to:
Wat Phnom
National Museum
Royal Palace
Cheung Ek (Killing Fields)
Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21)
Russian Market
Central Market
I can also arrange Cambodian Cooking Classes for you (1/2 day or full day). I can arrange all bus, air, boat and accommodations as well. I have trusted friends in other towns that can pick you up and take you to the guesthouse of your choice or we can suggest one.
For airport pick-up, you can just email me your flight information and full name and I will be at the airport to pick you up (holding a sign with you name).
We hired Savin for 9 days in Cambodia in 2009 and were impressed by his service, knowledge, and genuine desire to make sure that we saw and experienced all that Cambodia has to offer. We travelled in Phnom Penh, Angkor Wat, and Battambang and highly recommend Savin's services!!
ReplyDeleteSavin was recommended to us by a friend who got to know him over the course of several years living and working in Cambodia. After spending several days with him as our guide, I really feel that I got to know more than just the typical tourist traps. I'm sure he can provide that experience if that is what you want to see, and we did visit the landmarks, but if you are a little adventurous and looking for someone who will open a window into the real Cambodia, I strongly recommend Savin.
ReplyDeleteSavin is amazing!!! Made our trip in Cambodia so easy and so much fun, not to mention reasonable in price. There is nothing like having a local who loves his city showing you around. If you plan to go to Cambodia Savin is your man!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing you in Phnom Penh again one day buddy!
Regards,
Adam
Savin is AWESOME! He is a genuinely great guy, who can help you navigate the sometimes confronting streets of Phnom Penh.
ReplyDeleteWhen we first arrived in November 2009 we were lucky enough that Savin was waiting at the bus station we stopped at coming from Saigon. He helped us find a good cheap hotel, he then helped us order food from a local eatery where they could not speak english, we had the local dish Lok Lak which was delicious and possibly the best we had there! We then used Savin for the booking of tours around the city and to Sihanoukville. When we got to Sihanoukville we had another tuk tuk driver waiting with our name on a sign, what a pleasant surprise as they were so organised! Upon returning to Phnom Penh, we had Savin take us around and show us the local sites, we went out for lunch and dinner with him. Dinner was at an amazing restaurant, surrounded by a beautiful garden filled with exotic plants, we were treated to amazing Cambodian food, with stories of Phnom Penh. He took us to all the great sites, and just gave us a great feel for the city, he also showed us sites that a normal tour would not. Savin also helped us book our tuk tuk drivers in Siem Reap, both those tuk tuk drivers were great and also took us around to local spots in Siem Reap including a market where we were the only foreigners and we got to eat the best grilled frog legs!!
I travelled for 3 months through South East Asia and feel it is best when you hang out with the locals and they show you around. Savin can provide this, as he is a great guy, extremely friendly, helpful and he speaks English, plus his prices are extremely reasonable!!!
Can't wait to see you again my friend!
Kind Regards,
Stefan
Savin is the best! He spent a day carting us around the city and answering all of our questions about Cambodia. He's super knowledgable, insightful, and a truly genuine guy. He's studying English at University now and either wants to be an English teacher or a tour guide. I don't know about his teaching abilities but he's an amazing tour guide and deserves support from travelers! I promise you won't regret hiring him as a guide or even just hanging out with him.
ReplyDeleteSavin, we'll miss you and wish you so much luck!
